Elisa Grillini was born in Cotignola (Ravenna) She got a diploma from the Istituto d’Arte per la Ceramica “G. Ballardini” (Ceramic Art Institute) in FAENZA (Ravenna) in 1984.

In spite of considerable experience in the field of industrial ceramics in Modena, Italy, and advertising graphics in Ferrara, she nurtured her love of artistic ceramics in the first few years of her career. She displayed her first creations in various exhibitions in Italian cities such as Ravenna, Florence, Trieste and Udine.
In 1993 she decided to fully dedicate herself to artistic ceramics, and opened a workshop in Lugo di Romagna (Ravenna). During this time, the artist also spent time abroad attending seminars in Spain.
She has also donated a considerable amount of time and energy to charity. She started a ceramics workshop in San Paolo, Brazil, backed by the city of Lugo di Romagna (Ravenna).

Her goal was to convey her passion and skill to those less fortunate by spending time in Brazil and teaching young people from the FAVELAS, or hillside shanty towns.

Elisa Grillini now creates unique works of ceramic art.
Her pieces are original and personal.
